For over thirty years, we've helped collectors care for the watches they love. We've also seen what goes wrong: stolen collections, a grail piece damaged abroad, homeowner's claims that paid back pennies on the dollar. Your collection deserves better. We arrange everything for you, underwritten by Chubb, and we insure your watches at their real market value.
Watch and jewelry insurance brought to you by European Watch Company, provided by Chubb
A luxury watch is one of the few things you own that is valuable, portable, and worn in public every day. That is exactly the combination that makes it vulnerable, and most collectors are less covered than they think.
A dedicated policy follows your watch on your wrist, while traveling, at the gym, and not just at your home address.
Most homeowner's or renter's policies cap valuables at $1,500 or a few thousand dollars. A luxury watch can easily exceed that.
It's a common mix-up. A manufacturer's warranty, and European Watch Company's own service warranty, covers manufacturing defects and mechanical issues. Neither covers damage from an accident, theft, or a natural disaster. That is what insurance is for. With a Chubb Valuable Articles Policy you're protected against those risks, and you can still choose where your watch goes to be repaired.
Insure your watches at market value, not MSRP. Some of the most sought-after watch models trade on the secondary market at two or even three times their original retail price. If your watch is only insured for MSRP, you're underinsured the moment you walk out the door. As secondary-market specialists, we quote and cover your watch at its true current value.

Through a Chubb Valuable Articles Policy, your collection is insured for your preferred value against loss, theft, and accidental physical damage wherever and whenever they happen. Anywhere you go, underwater, in the air, or deep in the jungle, your watches and jewelry are covered.
Repair or replace the item at the merchant of your choice, or take a cash payment.
A claim against your Valuable Articles Policy does not affect your existing homeowner's policy.
New watches and jewelry are automatically covered for up to 90 days, at 25% of your total itemized limit, until you add them to your policy.
We can also insure jewelry, handbags, and fine art alongside your watches.
Start with a quick quote for a fast estimate, or jump straight into the full application. If questions come up along the way, our agents can take it from there.
For most watches and jewelry, just submit photos and a detailed description. In most cases, a formal appraisal is only required for pieces valued over $100,000.
If you need help valuing your pieces, reach out. We'll help review the value of your collection with Chubb's terms and conditions in mind.
When you buy a new watch or piece of jewelry, our team helps add it to your policy, and in some cases you have the power to edit your policy yourself, immediately.
Chubb will increase the value of your watches and jewelry year over year. If you have any questions about whether your coverage still applies to the current market, reach out and we will review it for you.
Every collection is different, so we don't quote a one-size-fits-all rate. Your premium depends on a few things: the value of your pieces, where you live and store them, and the security measures you have in place. Here's how to get a price that's right for you:
The fastest way to see an estimate for your collection. Enter your pieces and get a number in minutes.
Collections valued over $200,000 may qualify for premium discounts.
If you'd rather talk it through, our agents will build coverage around your collection. Reach us at insurance@europeanwatch.com.

In almost all cases, yes. Most homeowner's policies cap total coverage for valuables at around $1,500 and exclude many forms of loss. A dedicated Valuable Articles Policy covers each watch for its agreed value, worldwide.
It depends on the value of your collection, where you live, and your security setup. The fastest way to see a number is to get a quick quote; for personalized coverage, contact our agents at insurance@europeanwatch.com.
Only for watches and jewelry valued over $100,000. For anything below that, photos and a detailed description are enough.
Yes. Coverage follows the watch worldwide, not just at your home address.
You file a claim and decide whether to repair or replace the piece at the merchant of your choice, or take a cash payment. A claim doesn't affect your homeowner's policy.
Yes. The same policy can cover jewelry, handbags, and fine art.
If you experience a loss, you can begin the claim-filing process by emailing cdfnol@chubb.com. We recommend taking detailed notes regarding the loss (i.e. date, time, location, and any relevant details). Chubb's claims processing times may vary by claim. Once a claim has been resolved, Chubb is dedicated to providing payment as quickly as possible.
You can email insurance@europeanwatch.com to edit the watches on your policy. We recommend sending photos of the watch and, if you have it, an invoice.
You can still have European Watch Company manage the insurance for your watches. Email insurance@europeanwatch.com to begin personalizing your Chubb insurance packages. European Watch Company is dedicated to offering our clients the most personalized insurance experience. We will ensure you are insured at the right value while maintaining excellent customer service.
