This is an 18K white gold Blancpain Villeret Chronograph Big Date, 6885-1542-75. It includes an integral 18k White Gold bracelet. The 38mm diameter solid three-body case and stepped bezel are polished, and it has a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, and a solid brushed case back. The dial is opaline silver with applied white gold Roman numeral hour markers, and feuille hands. The patented double big date window is at 6 o'clock, and there is an outer minute track. The 12-hour subsidiary dial is at 9 o'clock, and the 30-minute register is at 3. It's water resistant and the 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are signed. The automatic self-winding Blancpain caliber 6885 movement is rhodium-plated with fausses-côtes embellishment. It's constructed with 37 jewels, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The Villeret collection, Blancpain's largest, is named for the village in Switzerland where Jehan-Jacques Blancpain founded his first, small workshop upstairs in his house in 1735.
