It has a stainless steel diagonal link bracelet with a folding deployment clasp, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coatings. It has ovoid chronograph push buttons, a signed screw down winding crown with crown guards, and there is a screw down solid case back secured with 4 screws, and engraved with "OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED CHRONOMETER – MANUFACTURED IN SWITZERLAND – TRANSMITTER MADE IN FRANCE – CHRONOGRAPH MADE IN FRANCE – CHRONOGRAPH TESTED 10 BARS – FCC ID," and "BREITLING," with the wings/anchor logo in the center. There is a button at 6 o'clock that is labeled "TEST," and there is a round tubular cover for the screw down antenna that protrudes from either side of the case that says "WARNING – USE ONLY IN CASE OF REAL EMERGENCY." It has a flat bezel engraved with a 60-minute Arabic numeral scale with markers and numerals every 5 minutes, with raised numbered riders at the quarter hours, and there is a luminous pip and dive triangle at the 60-minute position. The rotating flat bezel, downturned lugs, and 45mm diameter solid three-body case, are polished/brushed. It includes a white dial with fine concentric circle guilloche, black Arabic numeral hour markers around a black minute/second scale with square steel pips, and around the white perimeter reserve is a tachymeter graduation to 1000 UPH. It has skeletonized pointed baton hands with luminous inserts, a center sweep chronograph second hand, and there is a fourth center sweep hand with a red needle tip for the tachymeter. There are three silver-ringed recessed subsidiary dials with black markers and Arabic numerals, and steel indicator hands with luminous fill, including a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 10 o'clock, a running small constant seconds register at 6 o'clock, and there is a 10-hour totalizer at the 2 o'clock position. A steel framed date aperture window is between 4 and 5 o'clock. With the antenna completely extended, it will broadcast for up to 48 hours over ocean or flatland with a c. 100 nautical mile range, or to a search plane at 20,000 feet.
