This is a vintage c. 1973 stainless steel Rolex Vintage Oyster Perpetual 1002. It has a leather strap with a stainless steel deployment clasp, and an acrylic crystal. It has a screw-down winding crown and a solid screw-down case back. The 34mm diameter solid three-body case, angled lugs, and flat angled bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is brushed silver with applied faceted steel baton hour markers around a dot minute/seconds scale, and it has steel baton hands with luminous inserts. There is a center sweep seconds hand. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and the 11.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Vintage Oyster Perpetual 1002 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 1570 movement. It's rhodium-plated, with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment, and it's constructed with 26 jewels, an Incabloc shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The Rolex Vintage Oyster Perpetual 1002 was introduced in 1960, and it was produced until 1984.
