More about Patrimony Contemporary 40 mm WG

This is an 18K white gold Vacheron & Constantin Patrimony Contemporary, 85180/000G-9230. It has an alligator strap with an 18K Vacheron white gold tang buckle, and a scratch resistant bombé sapphire crystal. The 40mm diameter solid two-body case, rounded bezel, and downturned lugs are polished, as is the screwed down transparent sapphire display case back. The dial is Satiné silver with applied rose gold dart and stick hour markers, rose gold baton hands, and a constant center sweep seconds hand. There is an outer track with minute dot indexes, and a rectangular aperture window for the date at the 6 o'clock position. It has a 40-hour power reserve at full wind, and the 9.3mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic self-winding Vacheron & Constantin caliber 2450 Q6 movement is rhodium plated, with fausses cotes embellishment, and it has the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark. It's constructed with 27 jewels, 196 components, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. It has a 22K gold rotor with a crescent-shaped sunray guilloche design, a hacking seconds mechanism, and it oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). In 2000, to celebrate their 3rd century of watchmaking, Vacheron created their Patrimony line, some of the thinnest mechanical watches in the world. This particular model was first produced in 2003.
