More about Royal Eagle Chrono SS/SS

This is a stainless steel Vacheron Constantin Royal Eagle Malte, reference 49145/339A-9058. It has an integral stainless steel bracelet with a double-locking fold-over clasp
, and a scratch resistant, anti-reflective domed sapphire crystal. It has a solid screw-down case back secured with 8 screws, square chronograph pushbuttons, and a distinctive screw-down winding crown. The 37mm by 52.5mm solid three-body tonneau case, fluted lugs, and rounded bezel are polished. The dial is silver with applied Art Deco-style Arabic numeral hour markers, 60-second/minute track around the perimeter with steel squares every five minutes, and luminous trapezoid indices at the quarter hours. There are steel pointed feuille hands with luminous inserts, and a center sweep chronograph hand. A double aperture date window is at 12 o'clock. There are three recessed subsidiary dials: there is 12-hour dial at 9 0'clock, a 30-minute indicator at 3 o'clock, and a constant seconds sub dial at 6 o'clock. It's water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet, and there is a 40-hour power reserve at full wind. The 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Vacheron Constantin caliber 1137 movement, is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 37 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a micrometer regulator, and an 18K gold rotor. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600vph (3 Hz).
