More about BMW Laureato Grey Dial

This is a Titanium Girard Perregaux BMW Oracle Racing Laureato USA 98, 80175-24-251-FK6A. It has a rubber strap with a Titanium GP deployant buckle, a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and a screwed-down winding crown with an octagonal rubber bezel. It has oval fly back chronograph pushbuttons and a solid screwed-down case back secured with 6 screws. The 46mm diameter solid three-body DLC-treated Titanium case, and integral lugs are brushed. The dial is grey with luminescent large Arabic numeral hour markers, a white chapter minute ring containing a blue/red 10-minute scale for Regatta countdown, and luminous arrow shaped hands, with a golden arrow chronograph marker. There is a subsidiary 12-hour register at the six o'clock position, a 24-hour indicator sub dial at 9 o'clock, and a small constant seconds dial at 3 o'clock. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and it has a 46-hour power reserve at full wind. The 15.6mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Girard Perregaux caliber 337A chronograph movement is rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 63 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature and 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a hacking seconds mechanism. This model in the Laureato line was named after the yacht built for the 1997 America’s Cup. It was produced in a limited edition of 150 pieces.
