This is an 18K yellow gold Vacheron Les Historiques Chronograph, 47101/4-47111. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18k yellow Vacheron gold tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is an exhibition snap-on sapphire display case back with the rim stamped with the Vacheron Constantin Maltese cross, the reference number, the serial number, and other hallmarks. It has rectangular chronograph pushbuttons. The 37mm diameter solid two-body case, teardrop lugs, and stepped bezel are polished. The dial is ivory with applied faceted yellow gold baton indexes and Arabic numeral hour markers at 6 and 12 o'clock. It has yellow gold baton hands, a center sweep seconds chronograph hand, and a 60-minute/one-fifth scale with Arabic numerals every five minutes. Around the perimeter is a tachymeter scale to 1000 UPH. There are two gold-rimmed recessed subsidiary dials, including a constant small seconds register at 9 o'clock, and a 30-minute dial at 3 o'clock. It has a 48-hour power reserve at full wind, and it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 10.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical manual winding Vacheron Constantin caliber VC 1140 is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment and a cote de Geneve finish on the bridges. The baseplate, visible behind the screwed balance wheel, has fine perlage. The edges of the bridges, levers and screw slots have been beveled and polished. It's constructed with 21 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism, and 5 positions, a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, a swan-neck micrometer regulator. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz.).
