There is a polished screw-down case back, and a screw-down winding crown. The 34mm diameter three-body case, downturned lugs, and angled bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is silver with applied faceted steel baton hour markers, and luminous Tritium pips around a perimeter minute/seconds index. It has steel baton hands with luminous inserts, and a center sweep seconds hand. It's water resistant and the 11.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air King Precision 5500 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 1520 movement that's rhodium-plated. It's constructed with 26 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, and a self-compensating Breguet balance spring. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air King Precision 5500 was introduced in 1983.
