This is an 18k yellow gold Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse 3948. It's a men's mid size with a leather strap with a deployment clasp, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a pull out winding crown, with a solid snap-down case back, inside of which is engraved "PATEK PHILLIPPE – GENEVE – 3948," and several hallmarks. The 27mm by 32mm solid two-body case, concealed lugs, bracelet, and rounded ellipsoid bezel, are polished/brushed. The dial is ivory with applied gold faceted "boat-shape" baton hour markers around a perimeter gold dot minute scale. It has gold sword hands and there is a running small seconds subsidiary dial at 6 o'clock with black markers and a gold indicator hand. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and it has a 44-hour power reserve at full wind. The 6mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse 3948 has a mechanical manual winding Patek Philippe caliber 215 PS movement. It's rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment, and it's constructed with 18 jewels, an anti-shock device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a monometallic Gyromax balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, a self-compensating balance spring, an index regulator, and the seal of Geneva quality hallmark. The Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse 3948 was introduced in 1968.
