The 42.5mm diameter solid three-body case, notched steel bezel, and bracelet are polished and brushed. It has a screwed down winding crown, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal case back that's secured with 8 screws, with the engraved "Overseas" logo. The dial is Guilloche silver with applied luminous Arabic numeral hour markers at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock, and luminous baton indexes. The date aperture is between 4 and 5 o'clock, and it has luminous steel baton hands. It's water resistant to 150 meters/500 feet, and it has a 40-hour power reserve at full wind. The 9.7mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic self-winding Vacheron Constantin caliber 1226 movement is rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 36 jewels, 143 components, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. It has a micrometer regulator, a hacking seconds mechanism, and a 21K gold rotor. The mechanism oscillates at 28,800 vph (4 Hz), and it has anti-magnetic protection to 25,000 A/m. Vacheron Constantin introduced the Overseas collection of sports watches in 1996. Their forerunners were the legendary 222 models, and they became an icon for the brand.
