This c. 1940 rare Patek Philippe Chronograph 130 is yellow gold with gold dot markers and Roman numerals at 12 and 6 o'clock. This 130 was manufactured up to 1964, and was originally retailed by Cartier; according to Patek Philippe archives the first production was in 1934. This watch has 23 jewels, a high-domed acrylic crystal, a nickel-finished lever movement with a bimetallic compensation balance, "fausses-côtes" decoration, sunken subsidiary dials, a self-compensating blued Breguet balance spring, and a micrometer regulator. The dial is silvered with applied gold Roman and dot indicators. The outer railway has five-minute segmentation and a tachometer scale. The movement is signed Patek-Philippe. Remove the snap-on back and peer into a literal universe of the most finely tuned, crafted precision components inside any watch.
