This is a stainless steel Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Calendar 151.81.2A. It has an integral JLC stainless steel bracelet with a double deployment clasp, and a scratch resistant anti-reflective sapphire crystal. There is a pull out winding crown, and an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with four screws, and engraved on the polished perimeter with "JAEGER-LECOULTRE – 1000 MASTER CONTROL HOURS – 50 ATM – SWISS MADE," a serial number and a case number. It has correctors for the day and month at 2 and 4 o'clock on either side of the crown, and another corrector for the date is at 8 o'clock on the left case band. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, angled flat bezel, bracelet, and downturned lugs are polished. The dial is satin silver with applied faceted steel dart hour index markers, luminous dots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, and steel alpha hands with luminous inserts. There is a perimeter black Arabic numeral radial date scale, and a center sweep second hand with a red crescent-tip. It's water resistant to 50 meters/167 feet, and there is a power reserve indicator arch of 40 hours at the 12 o'clock position. A steel-rimmed rectangular month aperture is at 3 o'clock, and a twin day window is at 9. A moon phase subsidiary dial is at 6 o'clock. The 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Calendar 151.81.2A has a mechanical automatic self-winding Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 924 movement that's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 41 jewels, 339 components, blued screws, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a monometallic balance and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Calendar 151.81.2A was inspired by their calendar watch of 1945, and like all Jaeger-LeCoultre watches, it has been tested for 1000 hours before leaving the factory.
