There is a screw-down exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 4 screws, and engraved with "Vacheron Constantin," the serial number, and the reference number. There is a button in the band between 9 and 10 o'clock for setting the date. The 37mm diameter solid two-body case, downturned fluted lugs, and stepped bezel are polished. The dial is silver textured with applied Roman numeral hour markers at the even hours, gold baton hands, a center date indicator hand with a skeletonized arrow pointer, and gold round indexes at the odd hours. There is a 31-day retrograde date arch between 9 and 3 o'clock, and a subsidiary dial for the days of the week at 6 o'clock. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 10mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Vacheron and Constantin caliber 1126/1 movement is rhodium-plated, with fausses côtes embellishment. It's constructed with 36 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism, and 5 positions.
