This is an 18K white gold A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 101.039. It has a leather strap with an 18K white gold Lange tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a screw down winding crown, and a rectangular push bar on the left-side case band at 10 o'clock for adjusting the quick date. It has an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 6 screws, and engraved "A. LANGE & SOHNE - GLASHUTTE SA," and a serial number. The 38.5mm diameter solid three-body case, curved lugs, and concave bezel, are polished. The dial is white with a recessed offset time dial at 9 o'clock, applied gold Roman numeral quarter-hour markers, applied gold diamond indices, and an outer black minute scale. It has sword hands, and there is a smaller silver recessed subsidiary running small seconds dial at 5 o'clock, with gold indices and indicator hand. There is an "Up/Down" power indicator arch at 3 o'clock, with a gold sword hand, and at one o'clock is a double gold-rimmed aperture window for the big date. It includes a precision whiplash index adjuster, and their ALS house-made beryllium enhanced balance spring, patented in 1930. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 101.039 was the first watch debuted by Walter Lange in 1990 after resurrecting the company after the reunification of Germany.
