More about 1815 18K WG Silver Dial Manual Wind
This is an 18k white gold A. Lange & Sohne 1815 233.026. It has a leather strap with a matching 18k white gold tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, concave bezel, and downturned lugs are polished. There is a transparent display sapphire case back secured with 6 screws. The dial is silver with blued lance hands, painted black Arabic numeral hour markers, and an outer railroad-style minute track. There is a small seconds subsidiary dial at the 6 o'clock position, and stop seconds for accurate time setting. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and it has a power reserve of 55-hours. The 8.9mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The manual winding A. Lange & Sohne caliber L051.1 is rhodium plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 23 jewels, 188 components, a shock absorber mechanism, and 5 screwed gold chatons. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, and 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat Nivarox balance spring. The ¾ back plate is finished with striped/ribbed texturing and polished beveIed edges, and the screw balance is shock resistant. It has a swan neck micrometer regulator, and the balance cock is hand-engraved, making each watch unique. The movement oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz), and the precision beat-adjustment system has a lateral setscrew and a whiplash spring. The 1815 watches are an homage to Adolph Lange, the founder and pioneer of precision German watchmaking; they commemorate his birth year of 1815.
