This is an 18K white gold IWC Antoine De Saint Exupery, IW320102. It has a hand-stitched leather strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and a domed scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coatings. It has a screw-down solid case back with the engraved map of St. Exupery's pioneering airmail route from Toulouse to Casablanca, and a screw-down quick-set engraved pilot's winding crown. The 44mm diameter solid two-body case, downturned lugs, and angled bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is brown with the Antoine de Saint Exupery signature "A" at the 3 o'clock position, along with the date arch. The dial is metallic chocolate brown with luminescent Arabic numeral hour indexes and a triangle marker at 12 o'clock. There is an outer minute track with Arabic numerals every five minutes, and it has luminous sword hands, and a center sweep seconds hand. There is a power reserve indicator at the 7 o'clock position, and it's water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet. The 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding IWC caliber 30140 movement is rhodium-plated, with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It's constructed with 21 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature and 5 positions, a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, and a hacking seconds mechanism. This IWC UTC Antoine De Saint Exupery, reference IW320102, is an homage to St. Exuprey, produced in a limited edition of 250 examples. St. Exuprey, author of The Little Prince, was an early aviation pioneer and died fighting the Nazis in 1944.
