This is a PVD-coated stainless steel and 18K rose gold Cartier Santos 100 XL, W2020009. It has a textile strap and a stainless/gold deployant clasp. It has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The 51mm by 42.6mm solid three-body large case and the 18K rose gold bezel (secured with 8 screws) are polished and brushed, and the case back is also secured with 8 screws. It has a protected winding crown set with a faceted sapphire. The dial is black with applied gold radial Roman numeral hour markers, and the secret Cartier signature on the VII. It has an inner minute track and Luminous épée hands. It's water resistant to 100 meters, and there is a centered sweep seconds hand. The 15.3mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic self-winding Cartier caliber 049 movement is rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It has a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a hacking seconds mechanism. This oversize Santos 100 XL is part of the 2004 Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Santos model.
