More about Aquatimer 2000M SS/SS
This is a stainless steel IWC Aquatimer GST 2000, IW353601. It includes an integral IWC steel bracelet with a deployant clasp. The solid, two-body case is brushed with a screwed-down case back and crown, and there is a graduated unidirectional revolving black bezel for measuring diving decompression times. The dial is black with luminous baton hour index markers and white baton hands. There is a center sweep seconds hand, and the date aperture is at 3 o'clock, while the crown is extra large for divers with gloved hands. It has a 44-hour power reserve and is water resistant to 2000 meters/200 atm. The IWC automatic calibre C. 37524 movement is rhodium-plated and constructed with 21 jewels, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a monometallic balance adjusted for heat, cold, and 5 positions. Included are a shock absorber mechanism and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The case, dial, and movement are all signed. IWC introduced their world-class line of diving watches in 1967, when they debuted the Aquatimer, which at that time was water-resistant to 20 bar. The company relaunched a new Aquatimer line in 2004, and this GST 2000 is pressure resistant to a startling 2000 meters for professional/industrial deep divers.
