More about Daytona 18K WG Zenith Movement
This is an 18K white gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 16519. It has a black alligator leather strap with an 18K white gold Rolex folding deployment buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a solid screw-down brushed case back, screw-down chronograph pushbuttons and a Twinlock winding-crown protected by the crown guards. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, straight notched lugs, and flat angled bezel with a tachometer graduation to 400 UPH, are polished. The dial is white with applied white gold Arabic numeral and lozenge hour markers on the quarter hours, and there is a black minute/one-fifth second track around the perimeter. It has white gold baton hour and minute hands with luminous inserts, and there is a center sweep chronograph seconds hand. There are three recessed white gold-rimmed subsidiary dials with black Arabic numerals, markers, and gold indicator hands, including a constant small running seconds register at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 6 o'clock, and there is a 30-minute chronograph counter at the 3 o'clock position. It has a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) certification, and it's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet. It has a 54-hour power reserve and the 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 16519 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Zenith caliber 4030 movement that's rhodium-plated, with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It's constructed with 31 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, a shock absorber mechanism, and a monometallic balance adjusted to 6 positions. It includes a self-compensating free sprung Breguet balance spring, and Microstella regulating screws. The oscillator has the patented Rolex paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, with bidirectional self-winding via the perpetual rotor that was invented by Rolex in 1931, consisting of a half-moon shaped oscillating weight that pivots freely in both directions on its axle, utilizing the energy of the natural wrist movement. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 16519 was introduced in the 1990's.
