This is a stainless steel IWC Pilot Chronograph, IW371701. It has an alligator leather strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has two round pushbuttons for the chronograph; the button at 2 o'clock starts and stops the chronograph, and the button at 4 o'clock re-sets it. The 42mm diameter solid two-body case, stepped bezel, and downturned lugs are polished. The solid screw down case back is engraved, "FLIEGERUHR - INTERNATIONAL WATCH CO." The dial is black with applied luminous Arabic numeral hour markers, and baton hour indexes around a minute/seconds track. There are three black subsidiary dials, including a running seconds sub dial at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour totalizer at 6 o'clock, and a 30-minute register is at 12 o'clock. It has luminous sword hands, and a center sweep chronograph hand. There are rectangular day and date aperture windows at the 3 o'clock position, and it's water resistant to 60 meters/200 feet, with a power reserve of 44 hours. The 15mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This IWC Pilot Chronograph IW371701 has an automatic self-winding IWC caliber 79320 (base ETA 7750) movement that's rhodium plated, with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It's constructed with 31 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has an anti-magnetic iron core, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, an index regulator, and a hacking seconds device. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The IWC Pilot Chronograph IW371701 was introduced in 2006, and it was produced until 2012.
