More about Master Geographic SS Silver Dial

This is a stainless steel Jaeger-LeCoultre Master World Geographic, 142.84.20. It has an alligator leather strap with a stainless steel deployant buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The crown at 3 o'clock sets the time of the two time zones, and the crown at the 10 selecting the second city. The screw-down case back is solid with the Master Control logo circle in a gold tone. The 38mm diameter solid two-body case, downturned lugs, and angled bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is two-tone silver with applied faceted steel dart hour markers in a plain reserve, a center sweep seconds hand, luminous alpha hands, and an outer minute/second track. There is a 45-hour power reserve arched dial at 10 o'clock, and second time zone 12-hour subsidiary dial with a day/night indicator at 6 o'clock, and a day of the month register at 2 o'clock. There is another arched aperture at 6 o'clock showing the outer revolving disc indicating the names of 24 cities world cities. It's water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet, and the 11.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic self-winding Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 939 movement is rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It has a shock absorber and it's constructed with 34 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature and 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance-spring. It includes a ball-bearing central rotor with circular graining. This watch, like every other Jaeger LeCoultre timepiece, undergoes a rigorous 1000 hours test before it's shipped from the factory.
