This is an 18k white gold Cartier Privee Rotonde Big Date W1550751. It has an alligator leather strap with a white gold deployment buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is an 18K white gold winding crown set with a sapphire cabochon, and an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 8 screws, and engraved around the perimeter is "CARTIER – SWISS MADE – WATER RESISTANT," a serial number, and several hallmarks. The 42mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned screwed lugs, and angled rounded bezel are polished. The dial has a silver opaline wave-design guilloche design, black Roman numeral hour markers with the secret Cartier signature on the VII, and blued steel Breguet-style hands. There is a perimeter railroad-style minute scale, and the black-rimmed double aperture Big Date window is at 12 o'clock. A recessed silver subsidiary dial is at the 6 o'clock position, and it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet. The 11.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. It's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes Cartier logo embellishment, and it's constructed with 22 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock absorber device. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).
