More about Perpetual Calendar Chronograph SS

This is a stainless steel Blancpain Villerete Perpetual Calendar Chronograph, reference 5585-1125-55. It has an alligator strap with a Blancpain stainless steel tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is a snap-on solid case back engraved "Blancpain," with the edition number. The 34mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and stepped bezel are polished. The dial is silver with applied steel radial Roman numeral hour markers, and a perimeter minute/one-fifth second scale. There is a steel center sweep chronograph hand, and baton hour/minute hands with luminous inserts. Surrounding the 30-minute totalizer subsidiary dial at the 3 o'clock position is a radial date, and a moon phase dial is at 6 o'clock. A day dial surrounds the 12-hour register at 9 o'clock. The dial at 12 o'clock has a day scale and a leap year indicator. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and it has a 40-hour power reserve. The 11.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Blancpain caliber 5585 movement is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 35 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring.
