There is a screw down solid case back engraved with "SCRATCH PROOF CRYSTAL – 20 ATM – STAINLESS STEEL – WATERPROOF," and there is a center medallion with "DEEP DIVER," and the trident/wave emblem. The inside of the case back is stamped with the Girard Perregaux medallion, and "DDE BREV. – 7933/66 – 11585/66 – 4678/67 – 2-70." The solid two-body 40mm diameter barrel-shaped case, hooded lugs, bracelet, and screw down geometric, stepped curved bezel, are polished/brushed. The original dial is turquoise (the center circle was originally a very light blue), white, and black, with the original cream-colored luminous fat baton hour indices with an aged even patina that matches the steel baton hands (the minute hand has a large broad arrow tip). There is an inner black minute/second scale, a steel sweep center second hand with a luminous rectangle two-thirds of the way down near the second's track, and a needle tip. It has a black perimeter inner rotating bezel with white indices and squares with black Arabic numerals every five minutes/seconds to 60 where there are luminous twin baton markers. There is a turquoise-rimmed date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position, and the 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Girard Perregaux Deep Diver 7933/66 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Girard Perregaux caliber Gyromatic movement. It's brass finished with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's constructed with 17 jewels, an index regulator, a shock absorber device, and the mechanism oscillates at a high frequency of 36,000 vph (5 Hz).
