More about Geophysic True Second SS

This is a stainless steel Jaeger LeCoultre Geophysic True Second, Q8018420. It has an alligator leather strap with a steel deployant buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a push/pull winding crown, an exhibition sapphire display case back, and true (dead beat) seconds. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, flat bezel, and downturned lugs are polished. It has a silver dial featuring a fine grain finish, luminescent hands and applied baton hour index markers flanked by lume plots on the rehaut. It has independent hour adjustment, a 40-hour power reserve, and it's water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet. The 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 770 movement is rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes and oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It's constructed using 36 jewels, 275 components, a shock absorber mechanism, and the patented Gyrolab balance wheel. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 6 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance-spring. It has a 22 K gold rotor segment, a hacking seconds mechanism, a gold oscillating wheel, and micro screws on the balance for regulation. It oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).
