More about Jaeger LeCoultre Q1758121 Master Compressor Chronograph 2 SS

This is a stainless steel Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph II Q1758421. It has an integral stainless steel link bracelet with a stainless steel deployment buckle, and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The solid 41.5mm diameter three-body case, angled bezel, downturned lugs, and case back secured by four screws are polished. The screw-down crown and round chronograph pushbuttons have the patented compression key system. The dial is black with luminescent steel alpha hands, a red chronograph hand, and Arabic numeral hour and baton markers at the hours. There is an outer track with 1/5 second divisions, and an outermost tachometer scale. Included is a 30-minute subsidiary dial at 3 o'clock, and a small seconds dial at 6. The date aperture is at 5 o'clock, and the 12-hour sub-dial is on a steel rotating disc at 9. It's water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet), it has a 65-hour power reserve, and the 14mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph II Q1758421 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 751 movement that's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with, 39 jewels, 277 components, and a shock absorber mechanism. It has a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at 28,800 vph (4 Hz).

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph II Q1758421relies on a butterfly collar around the pushers & crown; they turn a 1/2 turn clockwise & counter-clockwise, which compresses gaskets to ensure water resistance. Each collar has red arrows to indicate if the watch is currently water resistant. Jaeger LeCoultre named these "1,000 hours" because each timepiece undergoes a rigorous 1000 hours test before it's released for sale.
