More about Omega 311. Speedmaster Moonwatch Co-Axial SS

This is a stainless steel Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Co-Axial, 311. It has a leather strap with a stainless steel deployant clasp, and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. It has a screw-down winding crown, and an exhibition sapphire display crystal case back. The 44.25 diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and round chronograph pushbuttons are polished. The dial is black with luminescent baton hands, a center chronograph sweep hand and luminous baton hour markers with minute markers around the outer rim, and a tachymeter scale on the black bezel. There is a date aperture window at the 6 o'clock position, a 12-hour chronograph subsidiary dial at 3 o'clock, and a small constant seconds sub dial at 9 o'clock. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and it has a 60-hour power reserve at full wind. The 16mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

The mechanical automatic self-winding Omega Co-Axial Caliber 9300 movement is rhodium plated with Geneva waves in Arabesque. It has a Silicon balance spring on a free-sprung balance, and 2 barrels mounted in series for automatic winding in both directions. The chronograph movement has a column wheel mechanism, and the patented Omega Co-Axial escapement.

The Co-Axial calibre 9300 is the first chronograph in Omega's line of in-house Co-Axial movements.
