Cartier 237-91 CRASH 23791 237 91, Released in 1991 and limited to 400 pieces. This watch was a reissue of the original "Crash" created by Cartier master craftsmen in their London workshop of the 1960's. 18k yellow gold asymmetric case on a strap with a matching 18k yellow gold deployant buckle, the case has been left completely unpolished and un-restored to preserve its originality, the case can be hand detailed at the request of the new owner (no additional charge), manual wind Cartier caliber 160 movement, cabochon sapphire crown, silvered dial with elongated black painted Roman numeral hour markers and secret signature at "VII", the original dial is in excellent original condition, blued steel hands, size: 22.5mm x 38.5mm, thickness: 8.4mm, Watch also includes 3 additional custom made straps made to fit a 5.75-7in wrist, Excellent condition for a rare and important Cartier Crash reference with original box and certificate (undated).

This is an 18 yellow gold Cartier 237-91 CRASH. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18k folding Cartier deployment clasp, and an acrylic crystal. It has a pull out winding crown set with a sapphire cabochon, and there is a solid down case secured with two screws on either case band, engraved with "CARTIER – PARIS- MADE IN FRANCE," hallmarks, and an edition and a serial number. The 22.5mm by 38.5mm solid two-body asymmetrical "maxi oval" case, hooded screwed Vendome-style lugs, and rounded bezel, are polished/brushed. The dial is silver with black abstracted Roman numeral hour markers, with the Cartier secret signature inside the VII. It has blued steel epee hands, and the 8.4mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Cartier 237-91 CRASH has a mechanical manual winding Cartier caliber 160 movement. It's rhodium plated, and it's constructed with 17 jewels, an anti-shock device, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance. It includes a self-compensating flat balance-spring, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Cartier 237-91 CRASH was introduced in 1991 in a limited edition of 400 pieces examples. It was a reissue of the original "Crash" created by Cartier master craftsmen in London in the 1960's.
