This is a bronze Zenith Heritage Pilot Type 20 Special Chronograph 29.2430.4069/21.C800. It has an olive-colored Nubuck leather strap with a Titanium "star" signed tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coatings. It has an oversize "onion" shaped screw down winding crown, textured rectangular chronograph push buttons, and there is a solid Titanium case back secured with 6 screws, and it's engraved "ZENITH FLYING INSTRUMENTS – MONTRE D'AERONEF TYPE 20," with a high relief Zenith Flight Instruments shield, and Louis Bleriot's airplane and a "sky wave" pattern inside a central medallion. The 45mm diameter solid three-body case, lugs, and stepped bezel, are antique bronze. The dial is sandblasted black with SuperLuminova luminous large Arabic numeral hour markers, around a luminous white perimeter minute/1/5 second scale with accent yellow Arabic numerals every five minutes to 60. It has gold cathedral hands with luminous inserts, and a center sweep chronograph seconds hand with a luminous arrow tip. There are twin recessed black subsidiary dials with luminous markers, Arabic numerals, and steel indicator hands, including a running constant small seconds register at 9 o'clock, and there is a 30-minute chronograph totalizer at 3 o'clock. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and it has a 50-hour power reserve at full winding. The 14.25mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Zenith Heritage Pilot Type 20 Special Chronograph 29.2430.4069/21.C800 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Zenith El Primero caliber 4069 (base Zenith caliber 400) column wheel chronograph movement. It's constructed with 35 jewels, 254 components, a straight-line lever escapement, and an anti-shock device. It includes a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a monometallic balance. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 36,000 vph (5 Hz). The Zenith Heritage Pilot Type 20 Special Chronograph 29.2430.4069/21.C800 was introduced in 2017. It commemorates Louis Blériot’s plane, the Bleriot XI, in which he was the first airplane aviator to cross the English Channel in 1909, aided by Zenith flight instruments.
