33454 Patek Philippe 5004 "Michael Ovitz" Perpetual Calendar Split Second Chronograph, 5004/1J-001, 5004/1J001, 5004/1j, this 5004 was commissioned by famous investor, art collector and philanthropist Michael Ovitz, many of his watches have come to the auction block over the years and many are now in the worlds most renown collections, his taste in custom designs from Patek Philippe are unparalleled, 18k yellow gold case is in excellent original condition only being worn a few times, this 5004 was born on a detachable bracelet but will also be accompanied by a Patek Philippe alligator strap and deployment buckle, the case and bracelet are developing a light patina, all 4 hallmarks are deep and intact and clearly visible without magnification on the underside of the lugs, manual wind Patek Philippe 27-70Q movement with the Geneva seal, 60 hour power reserve, perpetual calendar function (English) with day, date, moon phase and leap year indicators, stunning black dial with white tachometer track, applied roman XII marker, luminous plots and luminous hands, this configuration is undoubtedly unique for a 5004/1J, size 37mm (41mm including the crown and split pusher), thickness 15mm. This 5004 is in top collector condition, worn only a handful of times, and is for sure an important piece of Patek Philippe history. This configuration has never been seen before on any production model. This watch is complete with original Patek Philippe box, Patek Philippe shipping sleeve with all corresponding movement and reference numbers present, still sealed solid case back and setting pin, as well as the original certificate sold to Michael Ovitz from the Geneva salon in April 2011.

This is a uniquely configured 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe "Michael Ovitz" Perpetual Calendar Split Second Chronograph 5004/1J-001. It includes an integral 18K yellow gold 5-row link bracelet with a hidden folding deployment clasp, and an additional alligator leather strap with a folding Calatrava buckle. It has a fluted screw down winding crown with a top split second rattrapante pusher, a corrector for the date at 10 o'clock on the left-side case band, and two additional correctors on top case band at 12 o'clock. It includes a screw down exhibition sapphire display case back with an additional solid case back engraved inside with the Calatrava symbol and "PATEK PHILIPPE – GENEVE – SWISS," two hallmarks, and a serial number. The 37mm diameter (41mm diameter including the winding crown and split-second pusher) solid 3-body case, fluted curved hooded lugs with 4 hallmarks clearly visible underneath, and convex stepped bezel, are polished. The dial is black with gold domed dot pips, and an applied gold Roman numeral XII, around a white railway-style minute/chronograph seconds scale with luminous pip hour indices. It includes gold feuille leaf hands with luminous inserts, and twin luminous white center sweep chronograph seconds and tachometer hands with pointed wedge-shaped counterbalances. There is an outer white Arabic numeral tachymeter scale to 600 UPH, and around the perimeter is a white fraction-of-a-second chapter ring. There are three black subsidiary dials with white Arabic numerals and markers, and gold feuille indicator hands, including a combination running small constant seconds register and 24-hour dial at 9 o'clock with an additional white indicator hand, a combination 30-hour chronograph totalizer and leap year (with an additional white hand), and there is a larger moon phase/day-night and radial date dial at 6 o'clock. There are twin day and month aperture windows at 12 o'clock (in English). It has a 60-hour power reserve at full winding, it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 15mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed, with the Michael Ovitz "MOS" monogram on the perimeter at 6 o'clock.

This Patek Philippe "Michael Ovitz" Perpetual Calendar Split Second Chronograph 5004/1J-001 has a mechanical manual winding Patek Philippe 27-70Q (base Lemania caliber 2310) column wheel chronograph movement. It's rhodium plated, with the quality seal of Geneva, and it's constructed with 28 jewels, an anti-shock device, an index regulator, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. It has a monometallic balance, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz). This movement was the first non-Valjoux based ebauche that Patek Philippe ever used for a chronograph.
