More about Submariner No Date SS 2 Line
This is a 1996 stainless steel Rolex Submariner No Date Oyster Perpetual 14060. It has an integral stainless steel Rolex 93150 Oyster bracelet with a folding deployment clasp, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a solid screw-down case back, and a Triplock winding crown protected by pointed crown guards. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, integral lugs, bracelet, and graduated unidirectional revolving black bezel with Arabic numeral decompression times every ten minutes to 60 are polished/brushed. The dial is black with luminous applied steel baton, circle, and triangular hour markers. It has luminous skeleton "Mercedes-style" Rolex hour and minute hands, a center sweep second hand with a luminous "lollipop" indicator, and a white perimeter minute/second scale. It includes a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) certification, and it's water resistant to 300 meters/1000 feet. It has a 50-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 12.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Submariner No Date Oyster Perpetual 14060 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3000 movement that's rhodium-plated, with an Incabloc shock absorber mechanism. It's constructed with 27 jewels, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a Glucydur monometallic balance adjusted for temperature and 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, and a hacking seconds mechanism for precision time setting. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Rolex Submariner No Date Oyster Perpetual 14060 was introduced in the 1990's, the first no date submariner to have both a Triplock crown and a sapphire crystal, the last of the "classic" submariners.
