More about Portuguese Hand Wound SS Black Dial

This is a stainless steel IWC Portuguese Hand Wound IW545404. It has a black alligator leather strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The 44mm solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and fixed grooved bezel are polished with brushed satin finished edges. It has an exhibition sapphire crystal display case back. The dial is black with white gold leaf-shaped hands, applied steel Arabic numeral hour markers, and a white outer minute track with minute divisions and dot index markers every five minutes. There is a black recessed subsidiary seconds dial for the constant small running seconds at 6 O'clock. It has a 46-hour power reserve and it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet. The 10mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This IWC Portuguese Hand Wound IW545404 has a mechanical IWC manual winding caliber 98295 movement that's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 18 jewels, a large screw balance, and a self-compensating flat Breguet balance spring. There is a nickel silver three-quarter bridge, and additional bridges that are embellished with circular graining and Coates de Geneva stripes. The rotor oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz). IWC designed the IWC Portuguese Hand Wound IW545404 watch with a dial reminiscent of the original 1939 Portuguese with the "chemin de fer," railroad track, arched edge crystal, and traditional pocket watch look.
