This is an 18k yellow gold Rolex GMT Master II 116718. It includes an integral 18k yellow gold Oyster bracelet with a folding Oysterlock deployment clasp, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is a protected Oyster Triplock winding crown, and a screw-down solid case back. The 40mm solid three-body case, downtumpsonrned lugs, bracelet, and knurled-edge bi-directional flat bezel, are polished/ brushed. The bezel has a black Cerachrom GMT second 24-hour time zone with gold Arabic numerals. The dial is black with luminous gold-rimmed baton, round, and triangular hour index markers, and luminous steel skeleton hands with the distinctive Rolex "Mercedes" symbol on the hour hand. There is a green 24-hour hand with a luminous arrow tip, and a perimeter minute/second scale. The date aperture is at 3 o'clock and it's magnified with a Cyclops lens bubble. It's water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet), and it has a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) rating. The 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Rolex GMT Master II 116718 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3186 movement. It's rhodium-plated, and it's constructed with 25 jewels, an Incabloc shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a monometallic balance that's adjusted to cold, heat, and 5 positions, and a self-compensating Breguet balance spring. It is equipped with a Rolex blue Parachrom hairspring made from a paramagnetic alloy including zirconium and niobium; it's resistant to magnetic fields, temperature changes, and shock.

The Rolex GMT Master II 116718 was introduced in 2005, and updated in 2007. The original GMT Master II was debuted in 1955.
