More about 1815 Yellow

This is an 18K yellow gold A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Manual Wind, 206.021. It has a leather strap and a matching 18K yellow gold tang buckle. The 36mm diameter solid three-body case, flat, angled bezel, case, downturned lugs, and winding crown are all polished. The dial is solid silver dial with black painted Arabic numeral hour markers, and blued steel hands. There is an outside rail minute track, a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, and a sapphire exhibition case back that's secured by 6 screws. There is a small seconds sub dial at 6 o'clock, it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and it has a 55-hour power reserve at full wind. The 7.5 mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The manual winding A. Lange and Sohne caliber L 941.1 movement is rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 21 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and several gold chatons. It has a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. It includes a swan neck micrometer regulator, and a hand-engraved balance bridge. It oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph. (3 Hz). The name of the 1815 line stands for the birth year of Ferdinand A. Lange, the pioneer of Germany's precision watchmaking industry in Glashütte.
