More about Richard Lange 252.029 JUMPING SECONDS White Gold Black Dial

This is a white gold A. Lange & Sohne Richard Lange Jumping Seconds 252.029. It has an alligator leather strap with an A. Lange & Sohne white gold tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a pull out winding crown that activates the zero-reset function with a multi-disc clutch, allowing the instant accurate synchronization; the seconds hand jumps to zero when the crown is pulled. It has an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 6 screws, and engraved around the perimeter with "A. LANGE & SOHNE – GLASHUTTE/SA," , a serial number, and 4 hallmarks. The 39.9mm diameter solid three-body case, curved lugs, and angled cupped bezel are all polished. The dial is black. There are three intersecting white-rimmed circles with a red triangle low power indicator where they meet that reminds the wearer to rewind. The large center circle at 12 o'clock measures the minutes with a white gold hand with a skeletonized diamond-shaped counter balance. The offset circle at 8 o'clock has painted white Roman numeral hour markers, square white indices, and a white gold sword hand. The twin circle at 5 o'clock has a running small seconds scale with red numerals at the quarter minutes, and a white gold sword hand. There is a 42-hour power reserve at full wind, and the 10.9mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This A. Lange & Sohne Richard Lange Jumping Seconds 252.029 has a mechanical manual winding A. Lange & Sohne caliber L094.1 movement. The plates and bridges are rhodium plated and made of untreated German silver, with a hand-engraved balance cock, and with Cotes de Geneve (Glashutte ribbing) embellishment. It's constructed with 50 jewels (including a black-polished cap for the escape wheel jewel), 390 components, 8 screwed gold chatons, blued screws, and a lateral lever escapement. It includes a two wheel trains that allows constant-force generation and the seconds jump to interact, and a precision beat-adjustment system with a lateral setscrew and a whiplash spring. There is a Glucydur balance with screws adjusted to 5 positions, a swan neck regulator, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The A. Lange & Sohne 252.029 was introduced at the SIHH exhibition in 2019.. Ferdinand Adolph Lange first invented a one-second movement with a jumping hand in 1867, and the patent was granted by the newly founded Imperial Patent Office ten years later.

I have been dealing with European Watch Company for over ten years, and have purchased several wrist watches, including IWC, Patek Philippe, Rolex, and Jaeger-LeCoultre. They were not only fairly priced but arrived in like-new condition, fully warranted by European Watch Company. This company has an attentive, knowledgeable staff, a large inventory, and is a genuine pleasure to deal with.

Just completed my 7th transaction with EWC and for the 7th time the transaction was smooth, flawless and quick. Joshua is quick to respond to any e-mails and answer any questions. Ashley knows how to complete the necessary paperwork to avoid any delays at Customs as I am located in Canada and all paperwork needs to be completed perfectly which she is an expert at. You only want to deal with the best and the team at EWC is the best. There is a Yiddish word to describe the people at EWC and that word is mensches which translates to people of integrity and honour.

After a lengthy search I located the Patek Philippe I desired at EWC, but the decision to make a high dollar purchase over the internet was a difficult one. Through numerous emails with Justin and looking at reviews of EWC I made the decision to proceed and I am now ECSTATIC. The watch is exactly as described and pictured. It was perfectly packaged and shipped FedEx overnight. My watch collection now includes the watch I have been seeking for over a year.In summary, you can deal with the EWC staff with confidence. They are professional, honest and you will receive a quality watch which will put a smile on your face.

I live in San Francisco but the EWC website is the first place I check once I get an impulse for a particular watch. EWC's website is cozy and feels like home. I enjoy the photos, presentation, description and historical notes of each item and really like their next day delivery, so I stay loyal to them. Sometimes I must wait awhile for a watch to become available but can usually find anything I want. Then there are the watches you never knew you wanted until you see them here.

Dear EWC, I have just completed my very first purchase with your company: a mint Lange Datograph. Robert was extremely help throughout the process with the item delivered nicely packed to my Hong Kong address within days. The condition of the watch was absolutely mint as described and has exceeded my expectations, even under a loupe! I will be a return customer in no time. Well done!
