This is an 18k Honey Gold A.Lange & Sohne 1815 Rattrapante Homage to F.A. Lange 425.050 It includes an 18k Honey gold case, an alligator leather strap with a Honey gold tang buckle, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It has a pull-out signed winding crown, rectangular arched chronograph push buttons, and a matching rattrapante push button is at 10 o’clock on the left-side case band. It has an exhibition sapphire display crystal case back secured with 6 screws and it’s engraved with “A. LANGE & SOHNE – GLASHUTTE 1/SA,” hallmarks and a serial and edition number. The 41.2mm round three-body case, curved lugs, and convex bezel, are polished/brushed. It includes a glossy black dial with gilt Arabic numeral hour markers around an outer gilt minute/hour scale, and a perimeter guilt tachymeter to 250 UPH. It has dauphine gold hour and minute hands, and twin needle split second hands with diamond-shaped counterbalances in Honey and white gold. There are twin circular subsidiary dials with guilt Arabic numerals and railroad-style outer scales with Honey and white gold indicator hands, including a 30-minute chronograph totalizer at 12 o’clock, and a constant running small seconds register at 6 o’clock. It has a 58-hour power reserve at full winding, it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 12.6mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This A.Lange & Sohne 1815 Rattrapante Homage to F.A. Lange 425.050 has a mechanical manual winding A. Lange & Sohne caliber L101.2 column wheel split second chronograph movement. It’s rhodium plated with the chronograph/rattrapante mechanism located on the movement side and visible through the case back for viewing the precision switching process (making it an L101.2 rather than an L101.1 caliber). It’s constructed with two column wheels, 36 jewels, a monometallic balance, an anti-shock system, a fully oscillating Lange balance spring, and the movement oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz). It was introduced in 2020 in a limited edition of 100 examples on the 175th Anniversary of F.A. Lange’s first pocket watch workshop. It’s the only A. Lange & Sohne split second chronograph without any additional complications.
