Audemars Piguet 14700ST Royal Oak, the predecessor to the 14790 this reference was produced for only a year around 1991, it is believed that only about 500 example were ever produced in steel, stainless steel case on an integrated stainless steel bracelet with a folding AP deployant clasp, automatic AP Caliber 2125 movement, blue petite Tapisserie dial with applied hour markers, luminous baton hands, quick-set date, center sweep seconds, sapphire crystal, water resistant to 10 atm, size: 36mm, thickness: 7.8mm. Excellent condition for a very rare and elusive mid-size Royal Oak.

This is a stainless-steel Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Transitional 14700ST. It includes an integral stainless-steel bracelet with a folding AP deployment clasp and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a hexagonal pull out signed winding crown and a solid case back secured with 8 white gold hexagonal screws and it's engraved with "ROYAL OAK," and a serial number. The 36mm diameter barrel-shaped solid two-body case, downturned hooded screwed lugs, and octagonal flat bezel with 8 white gold face screws, are polished/brushed. It has a blue petite Tapisserie "waffle" dial with applied rounded steel baton hour markers around a perimeter white minute/second scale. It includes rounded steel baton hour and minute hands with luminous fill, and a center sweep second hand. There is a quick-set date aperture window at 3 o'clock, It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and the 7.8mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Transitional 14700ST has a mechanical automatic self-winding Audemars Piguet caliber 2125 movement. It's rhodium-plated and it's constructed with 40 jewels, 280 components, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance with variable inertia blocks, and a self-compensating flat balance-spring. It has a 22K gold monobloc oscillating weight with ceramic ball bearings, and the bevels on the bridges are diamond graved. It has a stop balance for setting the time, and the mechanism oscillates at 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Transitional 14700ST is both rare and elusive: it was only produced for one year in 1991, and it is believed that there were only 500 examples in stainless steel.
