It has a screw down hexagonal black rubber crown and there is a solid case back secured with 8 screws engraved with "AMERICA'S CUP 2003 ALINGHI COMMEMORATIVE EDITION", serial and edition numbers. The 44mm diameter cushion-shaped three-body solid case, hooded lugs, and flat beveled octagonal bezel with 8 face screws, are polished/brushed. The dial is black with a "waffle" guilloche design in the center. It has white luminous hour markers around a red and white minute/fraction-of-a-second scale. It has fat white gold baton hands with luminous inserts and three recessed black subsidiary dials with white markers, Arabic numerals, and indicator hands, including a red arrow-tipped power reserve indicator at 9 o'clock, a GMT/second time zone at 6 o'clock, and a date register at 3 o'clock. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and it has a 40-hour power reserve at full winding. The 12.4mm thick case, dial, and movement, are all signed. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, and 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a 21K gold rotor. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).
