There is a signed protected screw-down winding-crown with crown guards and an exhibition sapphire display crystal case back secured with 6 screws and It's engraved with "BREGUET – AE – 750 - HORLOGER DE LA MARINE – REF.5817," hallmarks and a serial number. The 39mm diameter solid two-body case, reeded band, lapidated screwed downturned lugs, and stepped convex bezel are polished. The dial has a circular swirled guilloché anthracite grey center with a brushed silver reserve with applied rose gold Roman numerals, gold Breguet hour and minute hands with luminous circular indicators, and a center gold sweep second hand with a luminous "Lollipop" indicator and a gold ring counterbalance. The brushed anthracite grey perimeter minute/seconds track has luminous dot hour indices and small gold pips. There is a large silver-framed double big date aperture window at 6 o'clock and it's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet. It has a 65-hour power reserve at full winding and the 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Breguet Marine Big Date 5817BR/Z2/5V8 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Breguet caliber 517GG movement that's rhodium-plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment. It's constructed with 35 jewels, 285 components, and a shock absorber device. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, a self-compensating flat Silicon balance spring, and a micrometer regulator. It has a 21k gold rotor decorated with a guilloche sunray pattern, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Breguet Marine Big Date 5817BR/Z2/5V8 was introduced in 2015.
