The 42mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned screwed lugs, and angled rounded bezel are polished. The dial has a silver opaline wave-design guilloche design, black Roman numeral hour markers with the secret Cartier signature on the VII, and blued steel Breguet-style hands. There is a perimeter railroad-style minute scale, and the black-rimmed double aperture Big Date window is at 12 o'clock. A recessed silver subsidiary dial is at the 6 o'clock position, and it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet. The 11.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.
