More about Franck Muller 2852 Cintree Curvex Casablanca "Caribbean" Blue Dial

This is a stainless steel Franck Muller Cintree Curvex Casablanca Caribbean 2852. It has an integral stainless steel link bracelet with a matching stainless steel Franck Muller buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. There is a solid case back secured with 4 screws, and engraved with "FRANCK MULLER GENEVE – Master of Complications," the edition number, reference number, and "CARIBBEAN." The 31 x 42 (including lugs) solid curved, tonneau-shaped two-body case, integral lugs, bracelet, and angled art deco-style case are polished. It has a blue/purple sunray guilloche dial with luminescent painted large radial Arabic numeral hour markers, luminous steel sword hands, and a center sweep seconds hand. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 9.1mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Franck Muller Cintree Curvex Casablanca "Caribbean" 2852 has a manual winding caliber 2800 movement that's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment, and the Seal of Geneva quality mark. It's constructed with 21 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance that compensates for cold, heat, isochronism, and six positions. It includes a self-compensating flat balance spring, a micrometer regulator, a platinum rotor segment, and a hacking seconds mechanism for precision time setting.

The Franck Muller Cintree Curvex Casablanca "Caribbean" 2852 was produced in a limited edition of 100 examples. Franck Muller and designer Sirmakes introduced the ergonomically curvilinear case shape in the early 1990's.
