This is a stainless-steel Glashutte Original PanoMaticCounter XL 96-01-02-02-04. It includes a stainless-steel case on an alligator leather strap with a deployment clasp, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It has a large signed, screw down winding crown with ovoid chronograph push buttons for the 30-minute fly back chronograph, and on the left-side case band are three more ovoid pushers for a mechanical counter with forward and back at 8 and 9 o’clock, and a reset button is at 10 o’clock. A corrector for the date function is between 2 and 3 o’clock. It has a screw down exhibition sapphire crystal display case back secured with 5 screws and it’s engraved with “GLASHUTTE ORIGINAL – ST. STEEL – 5 ATM,” and a serial number. The 44mm diameter circular solid 3-body case, curved lugs, and stepped bezel, are polished. The dial is matte black with 3 recessed circular black concentric circle guilloche subsidiary dials, and a large “floating” skeletonized minute chapter ring, all with white Arabic numerals and polished indicator hands, including twin smaller dials for the constant running small seconds at 10 o’clock, and the 30-minute chronograph totalizer at 2 o’clock. A larger circular hour and minute time dial is at 6 o’clock, with applied polished Arabic numeral hour markers on the quarter hours, rectangular hour indices, and luminous alpha hour and minute hands. There are twin Big Date month and date aperture windows with the month at 9 o’clock in red numerals and the date at 3 o’clock in white. It has a 42-hour power reserve at full winding, it’s water resistant to 50 meters/165 feet, and the 16mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Glashutte Original PanoMaticCounter XL 96-01-02-02-04 has a mechanical automatic Glashutte caliber 96-01 column wheel fly back movement. It’s rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment and a 21k gold open worked rotor with the double “G” logo. It includes 72 jewels, 584 components, heat blued screws, a monometallic balance, a swan neck fine adjustment regulator, and a screw balance with 18 weighted screws. It has a hand engraved balance cock and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4hz). The Glashutte Original PanoMaticCounter XL 96-01-02-02-04 was introduced in 2008.
