This stainless-steel Grand Seiko Spring Drive Club USA SBGY023 includes a grey alligator leather strap with a stainless-steel folding deployment buckle and scratch resistant sapphire crystals (dual curved over the dial) with anti-reflective coating. It has a signed pull-out winding crown and a screwed down exhibition sapphire display crystal case back engraved with "WATER RESISTANT – GS9 CLUB - LIMITED EDITION – ST STEEL – JAPAN – 9RS1-OQFO," hallmarks and an edition number. There is a blue circular power reserve dial at 11 o’clock on the brushed movement with a blue indicator hand. The 38.5mm diameter solid two-body case, curved lugs, and flat angled bezel, are Zaratsu polished. The dial is a double-curved warm brown with a “Kirazuri” (sparkling painting) finish produced with a texture of mica powder, referring to the Matsumoto Castle at dusk. It includes applied faceted steel dart hour markers with luminous inserts, polished steel Dauphine sword minute and hour hands, and a blued steel center sweep second hand with a wedge-shaped counterbalance. There is a black perimeter minute/second scale. It has a 72-hour power reserve at full winding, it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 10.2 mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Grand Seiko Spring Drive Club USA SBGY023 has a mechanical manual winding Grand Seiko caliber 9R31 Spring Drive movement. It's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's constructed with 30 jewels, a dual mainspring, the Spring Drive System, and a monometallic balance that's adjusted to six positions and temperature. It includes a flat balance-spring, an index regulator, a hacking seconds mechanism for precision time setting, it’s anti-magnetic to 4,800 A/m, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). It was produced in a limited edition of 299 examples in 2022 to pay tribute to Matsumoto Castle at dusk in Autumn with the warm brown Kirazuri dial.
