More about Da Vinci 18K Yellow Gold

This is an 18k yellow gold IWC Da Vinci 1850. It includes an alligator leather strap with an 18k yellow gold tang buckle and scratch resistant sapphire crystals (domed over the dial). It has a signed pull-out winding crown and a hinged half-hunter solid case back engraved inside with "INTERNATIONAL WATCH CO. – SWISS – 18K – 750," and a serial number, with an exhibition sapphire display crystal engraved with "CAL. 8541." The 35mm diameter solid two-body case, hinged scalloped lugs, and stepped convex bezel, are polished. The dial is white with applied gold Roman numeral hour markers surrounded by a black railway-style minute/second scale. It includes pointed thin gold baton hour and minute hands, a gold center sweep second hand, and there is a black-framed date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, it has a 40-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This IWC Da Vinci 1850 has a mechanical automatic self-winding IWC caliber 8541 movement with the IWC Pellaton winding system. It's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment, ruby rollers, double excenter regulator for the curb pins and stud carrier, and it's constructed with 25 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and an Incabloc shock absorber mechanism. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted for heat, cold, and 5 positions, an index regulator, a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, and adjustment screws on the balance spokes. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 19,800 vph (2.75 Hz). The IWC Da Vinci 1850 was first produced in 1988 commemorating the 120th anniversary of IWC.
