This is a stainless-steel IWC Aquatimer Chronograph Cousteau Divers 378101. It includes a blue rubber composite dive strap with a stainless-steel tang buckle and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coatings. It has a signed screw down winding crown at 3 o'clock, a push button that operates the mechanical rotating inner bezel at 2 o'clock, and there is a screw down crown at 4 o'clock for adjusting the calendar function. It includes a solid screw down case back engraved with a central medallion depicting Jacques Cousteau in his scuba gear surrounded by a circle of fish, and "INTERNATIONAL WATCH CO. – COUSTEAU DIVERS," and an edition number. The 44mm diameter round solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and flat bezel, are polished/brushed. It has a dark blue dial with square steel baton hour and minute hands with luminous inserts, a center sweep steel chronograph seconds hand with an orange arrow tip and applied rectangular luminous hour markers surrounded by a luminous white minute/chronograph second scale. There is an outer rotating 60-minute orange bezel with blue decompression numerals every five minutes, and around the perimeter rehaut is a dark blue chapter ring with luminous Arabic numeral hour markers. There are twin day and date aperture windows at the 3 o'clock position, and it has three recessed white subsidiary dials with black Arabic numerals, markers, and steel/yellow indicator hands including a small running constant seconds register at 9 o'clock with a yellow indicator hand, a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 9 o'clock, and there is a 30-minute chronograph counter at 12 o'clock. It has a 44-hour power reserve at full winding, it's water resistant to 120 meters/385 feet, and the 14.9mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This IWC Aquatimer Chronograph Cousteau Divers 378101 has a mechanical automatic self-winding IWC caliber 79320 (based on the ETA 7750) chronograph movement. It's rhodium-plated, and it's constructed with 25 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature and 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The movement is surrounded by a soft-iron inner case for protection against magnetic field, and it includes a shock absorber, an index regulator, and a hacking seconds mechanism for precision time setting. The rotor oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The IWC Aquatimer Chronograph Cousteau Divers 378101 was introduced in 2007 in a limited edition to 2500 examples.
