More about Spitfire IW326802 Automatic Bronze Green Dial

This is a bronze IWC Spitfire, reference IW326802. It has a brown calf skin strap with a bronze IWC tang buckle, and a domed scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. There is a solid screw-down case back engraved with "International Watch Company, Spitfire" a serial number, and an engraving of an airplane, a screw-in winding crown, and an additional soft iron inner case for shielding against magnetic fields. The 39mm diameter solid two-body case, downturned lugs, and angled bezel are polished/brushed satin. The dial is green with applied faceted luminescent Arabic numeral hour markers, baton, and triangle indices. It has a perimeter with a radial 60-minute/second scale. It has luminous leaf hands, and a center sweep second hand. There is a date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position. It has a power reserve of 72-hours at full wind, and it is water resistant to 60 meters/200 feet. The 10.6mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding IWC caliber 32110 movement is rhodium-plated. It's constructed with 21 jewels, a shock absorber deice, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). This IWC Mark Spitfire IW326802, is based on the original 1930's Pilot's watch, although it's larger and the dial has been updated. The bronze case develops a patina over time giving the watch a unique look and character.
