More about IWC IW378510 Ingenieur Chronograph Racer SS / SS

This is a stainless steel IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Racer IW378510. It has an integral stainless steel bracelet. The solid 45.5mm diameter solid three-body case is polished and brushed with a solid screwed-down case back and crown. The dial is brushed silver with luminous blued skeleton baton hands and hour index markers, and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with non-reflective coating on both surfaces. There is a tachymeter scale that shows the average speed covered over a distance of 1,000 meters on the outermost track inside the 5-screw bezel. There is an inner minute/second track in a white reserve with Arabic numerals every five minutes. The flyback chronograph has minute and hour totalizers displayed on a singular silver subsidiary dial at the 12 o'clock position, and there is a silver small seconds dial along with a date aperture window at 6 o'clock with a crown-activated rapid advance. It's water resistant to 120 meters, it has a 68-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 14.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Racer IW378510 has a mechanical automatic self-winding IWC Caliber 89361 movement that's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 38 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. It includes a double-pawl automatic winding system and small hacking seconds.

IWC Schaffhausen debuted the IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Racer IW378510 in 2013. This watch permits recorded hours and minutes to be displayed on the totalizer. The flyback function works by pressing the reset button, bringing the stopwatch hand back to zero to immediately initiate another timing sequence. The red “60” in the chapter ring was inspired by the digital display on the steering wheel of the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team racing car.
