This is a ceramic IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun Edition "Mojave Desert" IW389103. It includes a sand-colored ceramic case on a matching rubber strap with a titanium folding deployment buckle and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a signed screw down titanium winding crown, round titanium chronograph push buttons, and a solid titanium screw down case back engraved with the medallion of Top Gun Miramar Fighter School and "IWC – PILOT'S WATCH – MOHAVE DESERT – 6 BAR," and a serial number. The 44.5mm diameter solid round three-body case, curved lugs, and squared stepped bezel, are satin ceramic. The dial is dark brown with military-style luminous Arabic numeral hour markers, and rectangular hour indices around a luminous minute/second scale with an aviation triangle at the 12 o'clock position. It has luminous "Spitfire" hour and minute hands and a center sweep second hand with an arrow indicator tip and a wedge-shaped counterbalance. There are three recessed circular subsidiary dials with luminous Arabic numerals, markers, and Spitfire-style indicator hands, including a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 9 o'clock, a 20-minute chronograph counter at 12 o'clock, and there is a 60-second constant running seconds register at the 6 o'clock position. It includes twin aperture windows at 3 o'clock for the day and the date. It's water resistant to 60 meters/200 feet, it has a 48-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 15.7mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. It's rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve and perlage embellishment. It's constructed with 33 jewels, 231 components, a shock absorber system, and a small hacking seconds function for precision time setting. There is an anti-magnetic soft iron case and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). The IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun Edition "Mojave Desert" IW389103 was realeased in 2019 in a limited edition of only 500 individually numbered pieces worldwide. It honors the China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station in the Mojave.
