More about IWC IW391007 Portofino Chronograph SS Silver Dial

This is a stainless steel IWC Portofino Chronograph IW391007. The three body, polished and brushed case has angled lugs and a rounded bezel. Seven screws secure the case back, and it has a screw-down crown with a sapphire crystal that has anti-reflective coatings on both sides. The alligator strap has a matching stainless steel tang buckle. The dial is silver with applied silver baton index hour markers, an outer track with minutes/seconds, and steel feuille hands. There are subsidiary guilloche dials at 12 and 6 o'clock with 30-minute and 12-hour registers, and a day and date apertures at 3 o'clock. It's water resistant to 30 meters and it has a 44-hour power reserve. The chronograph has a stopwatch function with hours, minutes, and seconds, with round push buttons. The 13.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This IWC Portofino Chronograph IW391007 has a mechanical automatic self-winding IWC caliber 75320 movement that's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 25 jewels and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a hacking mechanism. The monometallic balance is adjusted for heat, cold, and 5 positions. This sporty Portofino has round, "pushrod" shaped chronograph buttons that are reminiscent of the cockpit of 1960's Italian sports car. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).

The IWC Portofino Chronograph IW391007 was introduced in the 2000's.
